You probe.
You speak.
It charts.
PerioCast turns your voice into a complete periodontal chart: offline, encrypted, in English and Turkish, while both your hands stay on the patient.
- 100% offline
- Encrypted at rest
- EN + TR voice
- Android 14+
Animated demonstration: a dentist speaks measurements and the chart fills itself, computing indices live and exporting a signed PDF. All data is simulated.
Periodontal charting takes two people. You usually have one.
One person probes. The other writes. In student clinics and solo practice, the second person rarely exists, so values are shouted across the room, misheard, and inked into the wrong cell.
And when the probing ends, the work isn't over: every index still has to be calculated by hand, then the whole card photographed for the record.
One exam, three moments
-
Speak, in your language
Tap start and talk the way you already do: English or Turkish, with numbers in Persian too. A grammar filter acts only on chart commands and ignores everything you say to your patient.
“on altı mezial üç… bleeding… next tooth”
-
Watch it chart itself
The cursor walks the FDI grid as you work. Plaque, gingival index, probing depths, bleeding — four indices per exam, corrections by voice, every total computed live. Say “skip” for missing teeth and keep moving.
“undo — four” · BoP recalculates instantly
-
Hand over the card
Export a print-ready, digitally signed 2-page PDF: a typed replica of the anamnesis form, captured from paper by photo and OCR, plus an index card matching the Istanbul Aydın layout, cell for cell.
“finish exam” → PDF, signed, dated
Built like an instrument, not an app
Offline is not a mode. It's the design.
Speech recognition, OCR, storage — everything runs on the phone. Clinic basement, airplane mode, no Wi-Fi policy: PerioCast doesn't notice. The only optional online feature is your own Google Drive backup.
Encrypted at rest
Patient data lives in a SQLCipher database behind your passphrase. Backups are passphrase-protected too. Nothing leaves the device.
Paper in, digital out
Photograph the paper anamnesis; every field is OCR'd for your review and rendered as a typed replica on page one of the PDF.
Re-evaluations that show the delta
Ghost values from the previous exam appear inline while you chart, or side-by-side on a compare screen. Healing becomes visible.
Your workflow, your rules
Guided or free charting order. Voice readback, beep, or silence. Earbuds auto-detected. Tooth-lock mode for site-by-site examiners.
The tools that exist weren't built for you
Voice perio charting exists: desktop software, tied to US practice-management systems, online-only, in English, at enterprise prices. For a student in Istanbul or a solo dentist in the region, that's four walls and no door.

This is not a pitch deck
PerioCast is deep in development: a working Flutter codebase with encrypted storage, exam sessions that survive crashes, backup and restore, and the full charting flow under test.
One honest deferral: AI exam summaries wait for v2. Seven on-device models were benchmarked; none met the clinical-reliability bar, so the feature waits until one does. That's the standard the whole app is held to.
- 2026v1 on Android: voice charting EN/TR, 4 indices, encrypted records, signed PDF export
- NextFirst faculty pilot: standardized digital perio records for a student clinic
- v2AI exam summaries, iOS, more languages, multi-user
A market the giants can't see from Ohio
Every dental faculty on earth teaches periodontal charting, and almost every one still does it on paper. Türkiye alone has over a hundred dental faculties graduating tens of thousands of clinicians who chart in Turkish, a language no existing voice-charting product speaks.
Students are the wedge: they chart more perio cards than anyone, they own Android phones, and the tool they learn on is the tool they carry into practice — across Türkiye, MENA, and beyond.
Three doors. Pick yours.
